MSU alum donates 12 paintings to hang on campus

Florida artist Don Kennedy, who was in town on Tuesday to donate 12 paintings to Murray State University, is no stranger to the school. Kennedy graduated from the university in 1956 and 1958 with a bachelor’s of science degree and a Master’s degree, but his roots to Murray and to MSU run deeper.

Senior Citizens Center promotes MKY stickers to raise funds

Murray residents may have seen white, oval shaped stickers decorating the back windshield of motorists passing through the community. Many of these stickers pay homage to a city or town, such as PCB for Panama City Beach or NYC for New York City for example. Now people in Murray can adorn their windshields with their very own MKY decal to pay homage to the friendliest small town in America.

CC-ASAP hosts town hall meeting

The Calloway County Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention hosted a special town hall meeting at the Robert O. Miller Conference Center Tuesday night. The town hall gave members of the Murray and Calloway County community a chance to listen to information in regards to underage drinking and other risky behaviors youth may engage in while providing the opportunity to ask questions of local law enforcement and mental health professionals.

National Day of Prayer scheduled for Thursday
