‘Ky. Gives Day’ brings in nearly $2,200 for local non-profits

Posted: Wednesday, May 1, 2013 7:00 am

In the first-ever Kentucky Gives Day held on April 24, The Friends of Hospice ($1,265), Need Line ($720) and The United Way for Murray-Calloway County ($130) reeled in nearly $2,200 between the three non-profit organizations.

The 24-hour online donation service, provided by a group called Razoo out of Washington, D.C., allowed non-profits to showcase themselves on the website kygives.org and permitted users to surf through non-profit organizations and donate to ones of their choosing.
