The prosecution in the case of a Murray State University football player accused of armed robbery will ask for the case to be discharged Wednesday in Calloway District Court.

Commonwealth Attorney Mark Blankenship said Monday that evidence does not support the alleged victim’s claim that MSU freshman wide receiver Janawski Davis, 18, of Eight Mile, Ala., was involved in an alleged armed robbery that was reported at The Chase apartment complex late on the night of Nov. 25.
